National Parks Road Trip & Alaska Sea/Land Cruise - April-June 2015
SeaTac to Yellowstone National Park
Driving through Washington, Idaho, and into Montana the scenery was beautiful. We crossed the Wanapum Dam near Vantage, WA. A short distance after crossing the dam there was a turn out to a scenic overlook. From the overlook we had a great view of the Columbia River with the dam crossing it. Above the overlook is a bluff on which there is the Crazy Horses Monument. This monument is several horses that appear to be at a full gallop heading for the cliff at the end of the bluff. We saw many farms along the way. We spent one night in Missoula, MT then continued onto Gardiner, MT. The motel where we stayed in Gardiner is about 1 mile from the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
